I love to put plants in unintended vessels. Angel vine, ivy, cactus, succulents, myrtle and ferns all will appreciate being elevated in this way. Take your enamelware, your pitchers, cups, vintage lamp bases, and pretty ladies' spitoons (yes, they had these!) and put a plant in it.
